Court premises/facilities hire

***Please note due to COVID-19 requests for court hire are being considered in limited circumstances.

Requests to use court premises are subject to approval and fees may apply.

To make a request for the use of court premises complete the 'Court premises/facilities hire application form'.

If you are requesting to hire a court or meeting room send the completed application form to courtservices@justice.nsw.gov.au.

If you are requesting to use AVL facilities send the completed application form to the relevant court location (from list provided).

The Court Hire by Non-Core Business Users Policy provides detailed information for applicants, including the application process, approval considerations and fee structure.

Filming requests

The process for filming requests is under review. All requests to film on court premises should be directed to filmingenquiries@justice.nsw.gov.au

 

Audio Visual Link (AVL) booking requests

Any booking request for use of AVL facilities in courthouses is to be made to the relevant Court Registrar (in writing) on a case-to-case basis. The Registrar will consider with respect to relevant bookings on that day, and the use of AVL suites facilities will be prioritised in accordance with the operation of the court.

For non-core business users, the courts available for AVL requests is limited to the locations outlined in AVL suites available for booking by non-core business users  (PDF, 211.3 KB)

All approvals for the use of court premises (including filming and court hire requests) are subject to the Department of Communities and Justice meeting its core business priorities. Accordingly, the Department of Communities and Justice maintains the right to refuse any application.
